One of the most important issues in raising children is that of sexuality and education around this fundamental factor in their development, something that becomes especially relevant when they are constantly exposed to technology and social networks.
However, it is not always easy to talk to children about this topic. That is why the OLA Organization of Eastern Long Island has scheduled two sessions exclusively for teens where sexual and reproductive health issues will be discussed in an educational and safe manner by a Planned Parenthood expert.
The idea, organizers said, is that teens "can pick up the conversation about sexuality."
The talk on Wednesday, May 11 at 5 p.m. will focus on healthy sexual relationships, and the talk on Thursday, May 26 at 5 p.m. will focus on “sexting,” as texting is known. sexual text. Both talks will be completely confidential and will be a place where teens can get answers to any questions or comments.
In addition to the talk, youth who attend will be able to receive community hours, a goody bag, enjoy an Italian dinner, and be entered into a contest to win a new Chromebook.
To participate, registration is required by calling or texting 631 899 3441. Space is limited.
